As Rome thunders into Britannia, young legionary Albus Maximus Flavius is swept into a crucible of blood, ambition, and awakening. Shoulder‑to‑shoulder with his fierce and reckless friend Rufus, he endures savage tribal uprisings, the sorcery of Druid priests, and the brutal grind of command as he rises through the ranks beneath the shadow of the Roman eagle.

Now, in the forests of Britannia, surrounded by dying gods and rising empires, that seed begins to burn. Amid the clash of iron and the cries of the wounded, Flavius hungered for something deeper than glory: truth, redemption, and a hope strong enough to survive the darkness of the world and the darkness within himself.

But Flavius’s story does not begin, or end, on the mist‑soaked frontier. From the killing fields of Britannia to the long, perilous journey home across the empire’s spine, Flavius must choose between the life Rome forged in him and the family who has to leave behind.

Forced into Judea, he walked the sun‑blasted roads of Caesarea and Jerusalem, witnessing unrest that no Roman discipline could tame. He heard rumors whispered in marketplaces and barracks, of a crucified rabbi, of miracles, of a faith spreading like wildfire among slaves and soldiers alike. A chance encounter with a quiet, steadfast believer plants a seed he cannot shake, even as he marches back west with hardened veterans and the dust of Judea still clinging to his sandals.

Broken Spear Beneath the Eagle’s Wing is a sweeping historical epic of war, brotherhood, sacrifice, family, and the first stirrings of Christian light in a brutal pagan world, a story of a soldier searching for meaning while the empire he serves begins to tremble.

Britannia burns, and Rome demands heroes.

In the shadow of the eagle, young legionary Flavius marches into the brutal conquest of Britannia, where painted warriors, ruthless Druids, and the chaos of war will test every oath he has sworn. Disciplined, devout, and driven to prove himself worthy of Rome, Flavius rises through the ranks as battle after battle forges him into a leader.

Beside him stands Rufus, fierce, reckless, and loyal to the death, whose strength in combat is matched only by his defiance of order. Together, they are thrust into a world of savage ambushes, shifting loyalties, and impossible choices, where courage can win glory, but ambition and sacrifice may cost everything.

Broken Spear Beneath the Eagle’s Wing is an epic tale of war, brotherhood, faith, family, and destiny, where the fate of men is decided in blood beneath the banners of Rome.
